I think Meeks is like Michael Redd for Milwaukee or will develop into that type of player. I'm not on the Joe Johnson band wagon in Atlanta and think the Hawks need a more consistent 2 guard and Meeks would have filled that void.

I do agree with most of what you said and thanks for giving so much imput on each player.

Young and Blair are big question marks and if they do prove to be solid NBA players; then no one will be surprised. If they don't ever develop in the NBA; then no one will be surprised. These two fine young men shouldn't have dropped so far, but most teams like to gamble for someone that could be a star type player and neither one of these guys provide that high ceiling.

Jordan Hill and Danny Green.....I do not know enough about them and they may be top 25 players in this latest NBA draft.

Overall I saw about 20 players in this draft that were solid and probably 12 to 15 will turn out that way. All the players taken in the 2nd round will probably not amount to much, but odds say that 2 to 3 will be solid players in the next 3 to 4 years in the NBA.

Griffin-great player, to bad Clippers are going to ruin his career

Rubio-good, but you have to buyout his contract from his Euroleague if you take him

Evans-no real position, will probably be like Dwayne Wade but play point

DeRozan-#4? Seriously?

Harden-has the tools to be a star, they just need to be developed

Curry-a shooter. No defense, No athleticism, No driving ability, just a
shooter with some pg skills

Thabeet-huge defensive force, will shine in OKC with Durant

Jennings-3rd best pg in draft

Flynn-2nd best pg in draft (Rubio #1)

Johnson-see Harden

Henderson-next Duke nba bust (ex s. williams, laettner, battier)

Holiday-no good in college, and he played in the PAC10!

Teague-perfect for a high-paced team such as the Knicks

Maynor-good pg skills, pure scorer, clutch. Just needs a team to play him

Mullens-struggled in the Big 10, but occasionaly showed potential

Hansbrough-cant shoot, cant jump, just a high-energy guy. Will either be a huge bust or a good player coming off the bench

Clark-will probably end up as a nice role player for somebody

Lawson-see Teagaue

Meeks-you've lost it. You can't be a good NBA guard if you can't dribble or play defense. Just ask JJ Reddick

Ellington-smaller version of Evans, will be an Iverson-model point

Williams-could be the next Turkoglu

Brown-good rebounder, very athletic, hardworking, improving; but he's undersized and still not much of a shooter

Summers-poor handles, poor shot selection; but a good shooter, proven winner, and physically gifted. High risk/reward

Budinger-2nd best player on Arizona, athletic and a good shooter; will need to work on handles and defense some though

Collison-great defender, good passer, fast, makes good descisions, good work ethic; but he's very small and weak and is overpowered by bigger guys like Derrick Rose

Why aren't guys like Jordan Hill, Sam Young, Dajuan Blair, and Danny Green on this list? All 4 are better than many of the players on the list (cough cough Jrue Holiday cough cough)

Hi, yes I did watch the series. The blog post was done before the series was completed. Now Josh Smith is a great weapon on the road because of his above the rim play. He can get opposing team's fans cheering for him and can help win road games in general.

Josh Smith is a leader in his on the court actions. He does have a problem with complaining to the referees, but his basketball play is that of a leader. He gets his shirt untucked on the court and you don't see this from Joe Johnson.

Yes, Joe Johnson has nice stats because he plays 40+ minutes a game. If you look at production per minute; then Joe Johnson is like 8th or 9th on the team. Flip Murray and Mario West both have higher per minute production than Joe Johnson. If the Hawks would play these stats on the court, you would see a better product on the floor for the Atlanta Hawks.

Game 7 was very important. Joe Johnson played all 12 minutes and didn't score in the first period, had turnovers, and made poor decisions. His play does not deserve the mintues he is getting. He was a big reason for the Hawk's explosion in the mid quarters, but knocking down 40 foot three pointers is not the way to get it done.

Joe Johnson was effective in Games 5 and 7 and helped the team in those 2 games. He was a no-show for the other 5 games or did very little to help. Why did Joe Johnson get 40 mintues in these games? You can wait around on some stars to get their game going, but Joe doesn't have a game worth waiting on. He's just another piece in the Hawks puzzle and a piece that is being misplaced nightly by Mike Woodson and the Atlanta Hawks.

Thanks for your comment and I understand your reasons for replying.

Wow, how clueless can you be and how stupid do you feel right now? The guy averaged 21 and 6 a game and you're saying he is the 7th or 8th best player on the team?! Your complete disregard of the facts is ming boggling. This team wouldn't be in the playoffs without Joe. The guy gets doubled and tripled team for a reason you freaking genius! Why do you think Flip, Bibby, Evans have such open shots!? And you lost the little credibility you had when you claimed that is Josh Smith's team and you actually went far enough to call him a leader! WOW! Josh Smith continues to prove how NOT to lead a team. You ignored the facts again by calling him a great weapon in road games. Did you actually watch this series?

Oh yeah, I can't believe that the Bulls are doing what they're doing. Looks like the Magic might tie up their series tonight like the Celtics did. But if you could, check out my blog to see some news on the Bulls Celtics series. It's sportsnewsdaily.today.com. And by the way, the hawks are looking HOT haha

LOL...I normally don't approve posts with links in them for things unrelated. Since you came out and seemed honest about it, I figured I would approve this one :)

Great that you got your speeding ticket dropped. I hate getting them and I usually just pay the 80 to 120 dollar fine and go on. I do hear that if you fight them, you will win in many cases.
